Wacky Wednesday

Today Caitlin had "wacky wednesday" at school (brought to you by the letter W), and had to wear crazy clothes...things that don't match, etc. Now when she first found out about this, she was pretty excited, "...and I'll wear my SHOES ON THE WRONG FEET!" (wacky for Caitlin, the norm for Matthew). However this morning once Mommy picked out the crazy clothes (oh and mommy is good at that. just take a look at my sartorial choices as a child. or as a mommy for that matter), Aunt Ginny Caitlin got a bit nervous. "I'm wearing that?, I like nice clothes. Maybe just my shoes on the wrong feet". So, i toned it down a bit, and let her wear matching socks, and clothes that actually fit...but she was still not happy. She wore them though (the whole time saying, "when i get home, im going to put nice clothes on. RIGHT when i get home. Because I like nice clothes. I want Daddy to see me in NICE clothes. OK mom? Ok?"). I reassured her, and told her it was the rules today at school. She had to wear the wacky clothes. Luckily for me, the only thing Caitlin hates worse than unmatching clothes is breaking the rules. I managed to take a few pictures (only by bribing her, mind you) for your enjoyment.

Here she is, making her "wacky face". (or perhaps she is thinking, "maybe if I make this face, no one will recognize me"

And...her closeup. Napolean Dynamite, anyone?

Quickie

I took Hannah to the doctor today for her 2 month checkup and first round of shots (which she did NOT appreciate) and I wanted to record her stats...

She's just under 12lbs and is still in the 50th percentile for weight, 24 inches and closer to the 90th percentile for length (i dont think you can call it height until they can actually stand up :)) and her head is growing..hooray!! Last appointment she was in the 25th percentile, but now she's in the 50th. So I'm happy about that. Overall she was very healthy and had reached all the appropriate milestones.

Anyway, that's about all I have for now. More pictures as soon as I take them!

Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

It's COLD here!!! Yesterday we had a fairly nice day, sunshine, high in the 60's-but today was just brutal..windy with a high of 40-something (shut up..thats COLD to us down here in Georgia!) In spite of the cold however, we did manage to take the kids outside (briefly) for a little fresh air at our lil' playground...Even Hannah-Bo got to come outside with us. Luckily she got a nice warm outfit for the weather. At first, she wasn't a fan:

I think that's because she was inside and that outfit is VERY warm...once we got outside she was oh so happy.

Even more so when we got her in the swing, with two great helpers to give her a little push every now and then:

She fought it as long as she could, but eventually the coziness and motion got to her. She paaaaasssed out:

So that was enough outside for all of us. We went inside to thaw out. The big kids wanted mommy to set up their new tent for some fun inside time...they loved it! Of course they still love their ladybug tent, but there's nothing like a new toy, right?

While the kids played in the tent, I spent some time coaxing some smiles out of Hannah...not too tough these days-she's pretty smiley! However this was the first day I managed to catch her on camera with her smile (usually the minute i get the camera out she makes her "Im so confused about what you're doing there mom" face)

This shot is more typical of lil' Pea:
